Return & Refund Policy — Lights by Blackalogy

Effective from 8 October 2026

1. Change of Mind

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind. Because most of our products are electrical fittings that are frequently installed shortly after delivery, please check specifications (dimensions, wattage, colour temperature, bulb type) carefully before ordering, or contact us at lightsbyblackalogy@gmail.com if you’re unsure.

2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. We will first attempt to repair or replace the item at no cost to you. A refund will only be issued if repair or replacement is not possible, or cannot be completed within a reasonable time.

3. Warranty

All light fittings purchased from Lights by Blackalogy carry a 3-year on-site warranty covering manufacturing defects from the date of delivery. Warranty claims follow the same process as item 2 above — contact us with your order number and a description or photo of the fault.

The warranty does not cover damage from improper installation by a third party, misuse, normal wear and tear (e.g. bulb burnout within expected lifespan), or unauthorised modification.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned once delivered, except where covered under item 2 (faulty/damaged/incorrect):

  • Items that have been installed or used
  • LED strips cut to custom length
  • Items without original packaging, where packaging is required to assess the claim

5. How to Request a Return, Repair, or Refund

Email lightsbyblackalogy@gmail.com with:

  • Order number
  • Photo(s) or video of the issue
  • A short description of the problem

We’ll respond within 2 business days with next steps.

6. Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method (bank transfer/PayNow) within 7 business days of approval. Where a replacement or repair is agreed instead, we will arrange this directly with you.

7. Your Rights Under Singapore Law

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act (the “Lemon Law”), which entitles you to request repair, replacement, or a refund if goods delivered are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, within 6 months of delivery — the first 6 months presume the defect existed at the time of delivery unless we can show otherwise.
